Welcome to the Age of Steam Roundhouse Museum, a living testament to the golden era of railroading. This unique museum not only houses incredible locomotives, railroad cars, tools, and machinery but also serves as an active roundhouse where restoration specialists work to preserve these pieces of history. Open for public tours from April through November, this fascinating site features a fully operational 18-stall brick roundhouse and a 115-foot turntable. Funded by the Jerry and Laura Jacobson Foundation, the Age of Steam Roundhouse Museum promises an unforgettable experience for railroad enthusiasts and history buffs alike.

The Roundhouse Tours

Embark on an unforgettable journey with the Roundhouse Tours offered by the Age of Steam Roundhouse Museum, where history comes to life. Running from April through November on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, these tours take you on a fascinating exploration of the fully operational, 18-stall brick roundhouse, along with its impressive 115-foot turntable. This is a working museum that you can visit only by joining a guided tour or during a special event.  Train rides are only offered during special events.
